Photogaphy Taster Day

Photography Taster Day

Come and spend the day with Jo taking photos, learning more about your camera and being inspired.

This photography course is a practical day learning more about how to take more creative and eye catching photographs. The day starts with a short talk by Jo on guildelines for taking eye catching images. The remainder of the morning (2 hours approx) is spent out with Jo on location taking photographs using the guidelines. Over lunch, prints are made at a one hour lab of the images taken, with the afternoon session analysing the photos taken in the morning. This looks at what worked well and why, and also the photos that did not come out as expected and what needs to be done next time to get the desired result. The emphasis of the course is visionary rather than technical and is open to people of all levels of photographic experience. Attendees can bring digital or film cameras to use and it is not necessary to have a sophisticated all singing, all dancing camera. Although the course is not a technical one, Jo can help you with any difficulties of a technical nature you may be having. To allow for as much individual coaching as possible, the maximum size of the course attendees is 8 people.

The cost of the course is £90 per person which covers the tuition.  Lunch is usually in a local cafe and the cost of printing your images will depend on how many photos you take.  Typically this is between £15-£20.

The course is run in various locations in the UK and during the spring, summer and autumn months.  See below for forthcoming dates and places:

Newbury                                       to be decided

Bristol                                           to be decided

Wells Next the Sea, Norfolk         to be decided
